While I was bored/procrastinating the other day, I decided to take a brisk walk down memory lane by reading my old online journal. After ten minutes of trying to figure out the password to my account, I finally logged into xanga. XANGA. That is a funny word for an internet blog. Then again, "blog" is an equally funny word that sounds like a german pastry or the name of an endangered amphibian that Bear Grylls would eat......
Anyway, to save myself the embarassment I will refrain from posting the link (although I'm sure if you searched hard enough you'd be able to find it). I was actually mildly entertained by my daily rants and raves about absolutely nothing. When I mean nothing, I mean nothing. I actually spent quality time reflecting on how first period sucked, second period sucked even more, and at lunch (insert name here) was talking "mad shit" about (insert name here). It was fun trying to guess who I was referring to with all the ambiguous "you"s and song lyrics reflective of my feelings. It was so nostalgic I almost puked. While a portion was written during my freshman year of college, majority captured my high school experience which at the time was a living hell (who actually enjoys high school while experiencing it, besides the token cool kids who are now pregnant and/or married and/or drug addicts). But in retrospect, I actually enjoyed those four years (which seemed like an eternity) and would probably relive again if given the chance. Thank you world wide web for allowing me to capture all the ins and outs of my high school career (and thank you creators of xanga for keeping my account!)
I decided to start blogging again for two reasons. 1) My mind is constantly thinking and thinking and thinking about (non)sense, which is leading me to think I am borderline psychotic (jk, kinda). I figured this would give me a chance to contextualize all the gibberish that is rambling in my brain. 2) sheer boredom. I shall begin with a more meaningful post tomorrow, after I take my stats quiz which I have yet to study for. Stay tuned.
